Kaya Kwinana, the Director of One Internal Auditor, obtained the following qualifications from the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) in 2007:

1. 1. the Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®) qualification, and

   2. accreditation to consult on, assess and validate compliance of internal audit departments with the International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF).

The IIA has this to say about the CIA:

Kaya relinquished his IIA membership and qualifications 10 years later in 2017, when the wrong direction taken in 2015 was confirmed, to focus on finding the best way to provide the highest quality of internal audit services, consistently. The new Standards, applicable from 1st January 2025, still severely compromise internal auditing's integrity, quality and performance.
